Fitting ending to this story.
Willa is still herself, though less accident prone. I enjoyed most of the world building and logic. End of day, I had fun and that's the important part.
adventurous emotional funny hopeful mysterious medium-paced

I loved this installment. I'm not sure if it was my favorite, but I thought it was an amazing book. It felt so much more intense and mature than the others while still maintaining the romance, cute scenes, and humor aspects. This series will definitely be going on my favorite series list and I just know I'll be rereading it over and over in the coming years.

cute ending

Holy Hell, I can’t fricken wait. I already know it’s a 5 from me. I just crushed 1-4 on audiobook in a 3 day span. Literally could not stop listening. I’m so excited that book 5 is going to be out so soon, but I’m also kinda sad that it’s the last book. I’d be okay with them continuing on forever. These books are so funny I couldn’t contain my fits of laughter, including when I was listening to them while walking around Walmart.

Update: yup I loved it

Story is just drawn out too much. By book 5, it doesn’t even feel necessary to finish because the suspense is over and you already know how the story will end.

This was a fun series. I liked the characters and the world, but overall I wasn’t really as invested as I wanted to be on reflection. The Abcurse brothers definitely felt the most real, so that was where I was the most invested (along with every other reader I’m sure lol). Because of this, the first couple of books were my favorites. The god, sol, dweller conflict/dynamic was interesting but I was pretty go with the flow on it all. It never felt super real. I did wish the stakes were slightly higher. No one really ever dies or is harmed for the worse, except Atti I guess. Emmy is fine, their mom is fine, the god children are fine, Pica is fine, Evie is fine—everyone is fine. I love a happily ever after, but in a battle between gods and worlds, it seems very improbable. I got [b:Darkfever|112750|Darkfever (Fever, #1)|Karen Marie Moning|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1392579949l/112750._SY75_.jpg|108558] ‘lite’ from this series for some reason. They’re not even that similar.

Overall though, I liked the series and this last book is a star below just because it’s a little less character focused and more ‘save the world’ focused, except saving the world never truly felt like a live or die situation.

ending was confusing

The book has a HEA and I’m all for them but the scenes that resolve the books issues needed to be drawn out a little more. It was written quickly and was a bit confusing!
