The final book in the Lyndon Duology. Honestly, this was sooo much better than the previous book. Ellie was such a cool character and the plot gave tension and some dramatics.
However. I do not like the fact that JQ used "man begging woman to marry him 2 seconds into meeting" for both sisters. I didnt like it in the first one but god, I hate that 'trope'

I started this book really enjoying it but as soon as the kitchen fire happened the story went down hill. The fact that there always seems to be a villain in the story is something that pissed me off. Charles and his family are in my mind idiots for a majority of the time after the kitchen fire.

My enjoyment of this book was night and day from book one. (Get it? Everything and the Moon, Brighter Than the Sun, night and day?)
I only occasionally wanted to kill Charles, which might make him the most tolerable of Quinn's male love interests. I loved Ellie a lot. A LOT a lot. I thought the little mystery was clever and neatly showed that not everyone in a household accepts sudden changes to the status quo. In all, it was a great take on the marriage of convenience plot.
On the negative side, the big mystery at the end was totally silly and felt like it belonged in a different book. Ellie reads completely differently than she did as a side character in Moon, as did her family's motivations.
Still, a significant increase from book one.

A fast and fun read. Another great heroine and nicely told romance. Well there are certainly some tough times for these two as they meet and marry and get to know each other. So many mishaps and accidents…

This was cute. Just a simple little historical romance.
