it's so weird, because I did enjoy this book, just like all the DO books.... but for some reason once I got to the last 100 pages the last thing I wanted to read was this book. the last thing I wanted to do was read at all. the biggest slump hit me here at these last 100 pages.

I liked it a lot and I liked how easily it flowed and how readable it is!!! I loved love loved the characters and I’ve never read a book about a throuple before and it was a different experience for sure. It was kind of hard keeping up with whose perspective I was reading but other than that I really liked. Very fast paced, high stakes, great stuff!!! I felt like it was a little repetitive though so that’s why I rate it a little below 4 stars.

Katee Robert never disappoints! We have forced proximity, why choose, Greek mythology, and a deadly game of trials

The fact that we’re now getting a “bigger things are happening in Olympus” plot is majorly exciting; I feel like it opens up this world in such a promising way. And the ending is exactly what I was hoping would happen! Honestly I would have been thoroughly peeved if the winner outcome wasn't what it was- but Roberts did NOT let us down.
This one is probably my least favorite in the series so far though just because 1) I found Achilles downright insufferable, and 2) I wish the tournaments were a little less predictable. But still all-around another entertaining installment in the series, and I’m definitely eager for the next one.
