The story was really cute, and I love Sage and Noah!! Probably wouldn't recommend reading this by method of audiobook, though. The narration imo was the hardest part to get through.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved Sage and Noah's characters. I loved their growth and I loved seeing how similar they are to each other. They both tend to hold things in and don't ask for help when they need it. Noah pushes herself because she feels like she has something to prove and Sage has always felt like she had to be the one to fix everything and always had a wall up. I liked Sage and Noah's relationship development just as much as I liked their individual development. They start off as rivals. Both seeing the other as their competition. The more time they spend together they start to see new sides of each other. They slowly transition to friendly rivals and then lovers. The pacing of their relationship was great and I loved seeing how they slowly began to fall for each other. I think their relationship was just what the two of them needed. Both Noah and Sage were able to have honest conversations with their families about things they've kept bottled up. Noah began to take care of herself more and took breaks when she needed too. She stopped feeling like she had something to prove and that made her happier. Same with Sage, her decision to move on and to take care of herself, made such a huge impact in her life. I loved that by the end of the story both women were doing what they loved and they were in the best place they've ever been in their lives. There's nothing I love more than seeing black women happy, in love, and thriving which is why Deanna Grey's books will always have a special place in my heart 🫶🏾.

This was a really fun romance!

I loved seeing how Sage and Noah went from rivals to lovers, and anything sapphic is A+ in my book. The rivalry focusing on art was really intriguing, as it's not a topic I've explored much.  The narrators did a great job.

I think there were a couple of dropped threads or moments that were too easily resolved for it to be higher than 3 stars, but very fun!
