The beginning of this story is excellent, and I love the way the relationships are built. I love the dialogue between characters, it not only feels natural, but it also gives you a good view of who they are. I also liked the dual POV setting. The reason this is getting a 4 and not higher, is that the intimate scenes felt shoehorned in. They didn't match the vibe of the rest of the book, and they took me out of the story. They were well written enough, but they just seemed to come out of left field. The best parts of the books were the explorations of identity, family relationships, and rivalry and competition. The ending was satisfying, and I was happy with where the story ended up. I would absolutely read more from the author. Also the audiobook narrators were fantastic, they really helped bring the characters and their personalities to life.

This was a cute and enjoyable read but ultimately lacked depth. I loved the behind the scenes glimpse into the world of comics and the banter between Sage and Noah was fun. I was also a big fan of the friends and coworkers.
I wish we would’ve seen the romantic relationship grow more organically. They went from rivals to lovers in an instant even though they never seemed fully comfortable being vulnerable without offending each other. The family subplots also felt entirely too rushed and out of place.

I like the concept a lot, but it didn't feel as fleshed out as it could've been. It didn't help that I really didn't like the voices of the narrators. It's a sweet story, but it fell flat for me.

It was cute. This relationship was so healthy it verged on boring but I liked them a lot anyway. The acting took me out a bit.
