If you are looking for something soft, easy & lightweight to read with minimal spice? This is for you.

This slow burn, enemies to lovers sapphic novel will have you feeling warm & fuzzy with no stress at all.

I’ve only heard good things about this book & I am not disappointed. This is a perfect palate cleanser that’ll have you refreshed & ready for your next book.

I’m obsessed. Soooo obsessed! Their rivalry, their banter. Why were they soo adorable though???!?? And these characters were sooo well written that even if their names weren’t mentioned for each POV, I would know exactly who’s POV I was on. The mental health representation and themes of how we tend to be hard and push ourselves. And being an artist with a family who doesn’t fully get it or get how they can often belittle art so relatable, especially for me. Did I mention that their banter was everything??!!!

I did not enjoy this book unfortunately. I do not think these two main characters should have ended up together. They literally hated each other then all of a sudden were all over each other. I would also like to note that the audiobook is bad. The narrators have weird reading cadences as is but Sage's narrator did Noah's voice all creepy and like a gremlin. Idk. You just have to hear it to understand.

This is the first book I read from this author. I truly did enjoy the representation that this book gave but talk about a slow burn. This book was exactly that! Glad it all played out the way it did. Sage & Noah were is two people who got what they needed and deserved.

Favorite Quote- “She didn't see someone who couldn't handle themselves. She saw an imperfect woman who—though had a lot of issues—could make it to the other side.”

I love my romance stories with a good dose of familiar issues.
And this book was just that.

Loved both Noah and Sage. I had some issues with the audiobook and the narrator for Sage everytime she did the voice for Noah. She made her sound like a 50 year old chainsmoker. And that didn't really work for me.

I love the whole rivalry between the two cause it just makes it so much sweeter when they actually talk things out. I loved their banter, loved how their relationship evolved, and the epilogue just had me giggling and kicking my feet.

The art element was also really cool, made me realize I need to read more books with artists, they are just wired differently.

I love love love characters that I can relate to and I could see myself in both Noah and Sage. They had a super sweet romance and I love how they showed up for each other. That being said, there were a few things that were kinda…off about the book. Some instances of weird pacing and I personally didn’t enjoy how the spicy scenes were written. I’m also glad that read a physical copy because I heard that the audio experience was terrible 😅

If it wasn't for the BIPOC Alphabet Challenge, I probably would've put this off a little longer 😬 I'm so happy I picked it up though because I adored Noah and Sage's story.

This was a rivals to lovers, workplace romance. Noah and Sage were unofficial competitors while they were in college. Years later, Noah is hired at the same company Sage has worked for since graduating. Not only that, they're now co-artists on the same highly anticipated comic.

I truly enjoyed the animosity, banter, and competitiveness between these two! Throw in an online competition and the side eyeing and sarcastic comments got better.

But on top of resurrecting a classic comic, creating a brand new webcomic for the contest, and sifting through new feelings for your co worker.... things eventually come crashing down. Sage's boundaries with her family are tested and Noah learns her limitations.

I think what stuck with me was the communication and heartfelt moment when they were both at low points. Yeah, there was some pushing away from Sage's side but it didn't last long. They were self aware enough to know that both of them had things to work on and would work on them full heartedly for the sake of their relationship.

This is a new to me author and I'm excited to read more!
