I knew I was going to like it from the first chapter, but it only got better from there! This was such a great read. Funny and light at times, then completely wrecks you and puts you back together. And the mouth on Deacon Kane? 🥵 MY GOD.
This was such a fast-paced read with less than 300 pages, and I ate up every word! I love Brynlee and Deacon so much and related to Kennedy at that age more than I'd ever expected. ♥️

I just love this huge amazing family and everyone around them. Brynlee and Deacon work so well that I was hooked! These two have amazing sparks, and have a great back and forth. There's emotion, laughs, and so much more. I really enjoyed these two, and I loved the relationship that was building between Brynlee and Deacon's daughter. It's a great read in this series!

I don’t know how she keeps doing it, but I swear each book Bella Matthews releases just gets better and better! I’ve been such a big fan of this series and I think this book is my favourite of the series. Deacon and Brynlee were so great together and made the perfect match.
I always love reading about doting dads and their little girls, and Deacon certainly is the doting dad to Kennedy. The way he cares so much about making sure she’s comfortable and coping well with every situation was beautiful to read.
Ever since we met Brynlee in Caged and got a sneak peak in the epilogue at her future, I’ve been so keen to read her story. This book was everything I wanted for her character. I absolutely loved how hard she worked to get to know Kennedy without pushing too hard.
I’m so excited to read the next Bella Matthews series, is it August yet?
