Deacon Kane is King
I absolutely LOVED this book! Honestly, it’s my favorite of this series hands down! Deacon Kane is everything a book boyfriend should be! He’s dominant, growly, possessive, and oh so affectionate. Did I mention he’s also a single dad? Totally amazing in every way! And I loved Brynlee! She’s my favorite FMC of this series for sure. She’s feisty, sassy, sweet and loyal to her core, but we get to see her vulnerable side in this story and I was here for it! The chemistry between these two was off the charts amazing and just jumped off the pages! I could not get enough of them! I absolutely recommend this series!

The Sweet Spot is book 4 in the Playing to Win series and is Brynlee and Deacon's story. I have not read the other books in this series and while you don't need to read the others, I'm going to go back and read the series because I enjoyed this one!
Brynlee runs into her teenage crush, Deacon, at a bar. They haven't seen each other in a decade and the chemistry is instantaneous. She works for the hockey team her family owns, and guess who has been hired to become the team's new head coach. Deacon moves to Philadelphia from Boston and has a teenage daughter, and he is so caring to her.
The story in this book keeps you engaged, and I read this pretty quickly. The chemistry and interaction between Brynlee and Deacon are great and they really complement each other well.
This released June 20, 2024 and I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was not my favorite of the series. I like the couple and I like the dynamics, but there were a lot of portions that did not make sense to me like the wedding didn’t parents were acting make sense from the books I read previously

This book became my favorite of the series. Brynlee and Deacon’s relationship really shows timing is everything. When they knew each other when they were younger Brynlee was too young for Deacon to even entertain her crush on him.
But now as adults the chemistry is palpable from when they first see each other for the first time in years and they can’t deny it. I really loved their dynamic. Then add in sweet little Kennedy Kane and watching Declan with his daughter will make you melt. But Brynlee with Kennedy is something special. I don’t think there could have been a more perfect storyline for Brynlee.
Audiobook Review:
Another stellar audiobook by Cicely Meadows and Oliver Clarke. This audiobook is recorded in dual narration. While listening I was able to feel every emotion coming from all the characters. It was so easy to listen to and I’ll be listening to this one again.

4.5⭐️
I will forever love reading about these families and the offspring! It’s crazy reading about Brynlee as a little girl and now all grown up! I loved her and Deacon’s story. It was fun, sex and fast paced! I loved how much she cared for Deacon’s daughter and only wanted to make sure she felt comfortable and loved! Also a hot single dad trope never gets old! The Huntington’s Disease topic was heavy and handled with care.
