I came across this book while scrolling through Instagram. I was looking for a palate cleanser from all the dark romances and thought a sports romance with a fake marriage sounded good. I went into this thinking it was like any typical book in the genre, but I was pleasantly surprised!
Although the book is a fake marriage and a sports romance, Decon and Brylee are not your typical couple. From the first chapter, I was hooked and fell in love with the characters. The way the fake marriage was incorporated was different and refreshing. I loved Brylee's big heart and how sweet and loving Decon was to his woman. Without giving too much away, I also love Kennedy because she went through something similar to me and her anxiety was something I can relate to even at 31 years old.
I will definitely reread this book again and again. It's the perfect summer read that makes you feel good and believe in love.

While not my favorite book in the series I’d give it a solid 3.5 stars. It was nice to see Brynlee’s story. I rather enjoyed her and Deacon’s relationship and how it evolved into something real for both of them. I loved Callen and Maddox most though. Their love for their girls was everything.
When I first saw that we were getting Brynlee's story I was ecstatic. But, when I heard the tropes I was a bit iffy on whether or not I would like it. Some of the tropes aren't typically my jam.

Ohhhh man this one had me in TEARS, Brynn and Deacon are absolute perfection. Deacon is the kind of man you hope and dream for. Brynn is someone that puts others above herself but not in a bad way. Just loved them!

Deacon's portrayal as a single dad here was beautiful. Even though he fell hard for Brynn, he still made sure Kennedy was put first. And Brynn made sure to endear herself to Kennedy by being her genuine self.
As always, the group chats kept me laughing. I live for those. lol

I knew Brynlee's story would have more than meets the eye, but somehow it truly was a sweet spot that I enjoyed! Both Deacon and Brynlee clearly feel the chemistry and I love how they reconnect so seamlessly even with the stressors in their lives. I love how Kennedy also fits in so well with the family and starts to come out of her shell more and more. Overall, this was a quick book that I devoured in an evening and wraps up the Playing to Win series!

I have read every single one of Bella’s books and LOVE them all but this one… I just couldn’t LOVE. It moved way too fast, it felt like we were jumping around in scenes with no context. I really felt like she rushed to put this one out
