Loved the book, and the only reason it doesn't get 5/5 is that it is split into 3 different narrators. This meant that every time there was a cliffhanger you had to read 2 other chapters before finally finding out what happened. With some books this is a good technique, but I've never had any trouble getting through any of the Iron Druid books so it was more an annoyance!
I see other reviewers didn't like the shift to multiple POVs but for me it helped me get back into the series when my interest had been waning a little. I think I take Atticus best in small doses so I was happy to get into some of the other characters' heads and to see him through their eyes. I think it makes him more sympathetic than just his smug dudebro narration of the past couple of books typically does. For some reason Owen really tickled me during his chapters. I do have a weakness for crankypants types so he was right up my alley.
I wasn't in love with the last two books but this one got me back on the Iron Druid train. Yay!

These books are totally my candy. Once I start one it's definitely hard to stop.
This was book 7, and while I can't say I loved it as much as the first, I really liked where Hearne steered the story. I'm really looking forward to book 8!
I keep thinking this author must have written himself into a corner with no good way out... then get my mind blown again :)
Hearne has grown tired of plotting, I guess. Just one event after another in this book, without a climb to what served as the climax.
This series just doesn't seem as fun as it did three or four books ago. The fact that Atticus finally caught a clue-by-four about what's been going on was great! But I was also thinking, Did it really have to take 7 books to get to this point???
This suffers from too many things happening, too many points of view, and a lack of focus. I enjoyed it to an extent, but not anywhere near as much as I liked his others.
