This suffers from too many things happening, too many points of view, and a lack of focus. I enjoyed it to an extent, but not anywhere near as much as I liked his others.

Pure powder... Like the best powder ever!!

OMG! It just keeps getting better. I absolutely love the Iron Druid Chronicles and Kevin Hearne is such a talented writer. I can't wait to find out what happens in the next instalment!!!

Holy Hell! Let's give a slow clap to Mr. Kevin Hearne.

I've been aimlessly walking around my apartment since I finished this book 20 minutes ago and I still don't know what to say about this book besides "Hot Damn! That was amazing!"

A more coherent review will be coming soon.

I loved this series when I started it. They had straight forward beginning, middle, and ends and I never felt manipulated by the endings. The stories are well written and amusing and the characters are well drawn.

This book, however, is the third one in a row in which Mr. Hearne has seen fit to use either a cliff hanger ending or use the ending as a means to pre-sell the next book. This is the third book in a row in this series in which the ending left a bad taste in my mouth due to marketing manipulation, which is how I see cliff hangers and endings that are nothing more than previews for the next book.

I'm not sure I'll be in much of a rush to read any more of these until the series is complete. I do not like to end an otherwise enjoyable book reading experience on a sour note, and 3 in a row is a pattern. So I think I'll eschew it until the series is over.

Should have been called Scattered. Kevin Hearne needs to reel it in and stop trying to write several series at once.

There is a lot of sadness and soul searching in this one. I found myself yelling at the book when something unexpected happened (I should say unexpectedly unhappily happened) silently crying, (at work no less!!) and laughing out loud, a lot, much to the curiosity of my family and random other humans.
Loved the movie and book references! They were strategically placed for enjoyment and did not take away from the story line.
I enjoyed this slightly darker addition to the series as much as I did the others and cannot wait for more!

A fantastic addition to the series that once again left me eagerly waiting for the next one. This series never fails to be great.

Atticus was the only Druid on Earth for 2,000 years. But then, he trained another and awoke his mentor, Owen Kennedy, from the Isle of Time, where the Morrigan had left him. Atticus needs allies in his pursuit of finding out who in the entire pantheon of gods and goddesses wants him dead. There are too many to count. Great series with entertaining characters, not the least of which is the wolfhound, Oberon.

Better than the last few - really toned down the corny jokes and the romance plotlines. Less awesome than it should have been - so much potential squandered. This is the first time in the series where every chapter switched pov's between the different druids - which I liked! I liked seeing each character through the other's eyes - but there was very little personality difference between any of the characters. Atticus spent the whole series complaining that Owen was a horrible, nasty human being, and rightly warned that he would need time to evolve contemporary morals and manners. And yet, within a few pages, Owen has already adapted to the world, is making friends, and become a slightly-cranky mush!

I enjoyed reading it, but mourn how good it could have been.
