Dammit I just love this series. The characters are fun and have complicated relationships with each other and it's just so good. I cannot wait to reread both of the volumes and get the next volume. The art style is great and the stories are interesting just wow.

A good continuation of Heinberg's origins for the Young Avengers. Cheung's art is gorgeous, and the character moments are great. I ended up really enjoying the second Kree-Skrull War, too, surprisingly, given how little of the action we, as readers, get to see.

Pretty darn good. I wish the Young Avengers had stayed this good. Lots of story, lots of plot - well handled side stories - the talking to of the parents was good, but the talking of who would talk to the parents was even better. And the best two pages of the Scarlet Witch I had ever seen - drawn super well and wearing essentially normal clothes (red hoody and sweat pants). Great back stories, just a bit into the motivation of pretty much everyone. Even the Skrull/Kree combat wasn't annoying. 4.5 of 5.

Took the delightful characters of the first volume and gave them history, dimensions, and flaws. In turn, I fell in love with each and everyone of them. Also, led me to research characters and incidents that are good for a Marvel newbie to know (e.g. Skrulls and Kree). Also, finally, an artist who makes Steve Rogers ATTRACTIVE.*

When Billy told his parents he was dating Hulkling <33333. I loved that scene
omg when we find out that Patriot has no powers. And that he leaves the team
Billy has already met the Scarlet Witch, and he doesn't know she's his mother.
omg everyone's story is so sad, but Kate's, I feel so sorry for her.
And suddenly we discover that Teddy's mom was a Skrull, and then we meet Tommy, and they discover that they are Wanda's children. All this happened so fast, I was in shock.
The final battle omg, now Patriot is going to have real powers.
