It was a bit of a rough start, but I quickly overcame that, and I ended up loving this. The mystery, the setting, the themes, the sapphic love, etc. Ugh, yes!

I will say, the only thing I'm a bit confused about, is how such a large society is able to live on a gas giant? Like, there's no ground, and I get that they live on platforms, but I'm still confused.

In any case, this was a delight and so creative and just so good!

It’s so refreshing to read a take on Holmes and Watson that actually gets the dynamic right! I had a bit of a tone mismatch because I initially expected a space western (and there’s a bit of that) rather than a Holmsian mystery.
