I found that I got more abs more frustrated with the main character and did not find the story least interesting
Not quite as good as the Rosie Project. Actually that might not be correct. The problem may actually be that Don and his personality are no longer new to the readers, so it just doesn't read as original and new as the first book. Either way it was quick and enjoyable. If you liked the first book, then this follow up is worth the read.
I knew this wasn't as good of a read because I put the book down multiple times. I only managed to finish the book out of some willpower and I suppose the writing was still OK. There were some funny parts still but what I found to be too much is the impersonation part. That was the thing that made me go "okay are you serious right now...?! " Also at the end where Rosie comes around in pretty much 3 seconds (exaggeration) from her heavy decision about her marriage to Don.... come on. Marriage is overrated and everything but how could you take it THAT lightly?
Overall it was a decent read if you can push the crappy, farfetched parts out of your mind and enjoy Don's quirks. I give this book a generous 3 stars simply because I still love the book before it.

Don and Rosie are married and have moved to New York where Rosie is enrolled in medical school while also working on a PhD in Psychology. Rosie gets pregnant and both of them must deal with the changes that this is going to bring to their lives. The story is told from Don's perspective. I liked being able to see things the way he would but at times this got a bit too much with the insertion of his highly logical thoughts. Overall, it was quite endearing: Don continues on the path that he had set out on in the Rosie Project - gathering new friends and expanding his emotional base.
I love Don's character. His technical personality cracks me up. Granted, if he was a real person, he would probably annoy the crap out of me and I'd have a reaction to him like most people in the book do. But I love that he and Rosie ended up getting married. The relationship issues that ensue are in some ways unique to these two characters, but in other ways common for a lot of couples. I was happy with the way the story unfolded and the end result as it let me see Don in a different light.
If these books were made into movies, I would love to see Joe Lo Truglio cast as Don, I think he would nail the character with no problem.

While the writing was good and there were funny parts, I didn't enjoy this as much because the whole premise of the book is around a dishonest act and the events that occur afterwards are lied about or shielded in half-truths. I don't feel Rosie or Don were true to their original characters. 2.5 stars.
This book kept my interest more than the first book. Good entertaining - and it really has you hoping things will work out.
