Probably a little tiny bit lower than a 4, but the story was interesting, even if some of the plot points were abrupt and the writing was periodically weird, like she was writing in another time. Then again, it was a very obviously British book, so maybe it wouldn't have sounded weird if I was British.

I would've loved it had I read it at a younger age. Very simply written, but exciting to kids I'm sure!

I don't even know how to review this book b/c of the simple fact that I was completely and utterly lost from page one. I wasn't even sure how to rate it at first because I had no idea if the story was good or bad. In the end I just gave it a 2 b/c I was too confused to give it anything higher than a one, but I did like Isabel, so she added another star.

No recordava que tenia aquest llibre (és de la mama) però uau em va encantar hauria de buscar la 2na i 3era part i rellegir-mels aquest i després llegir-me els altres dos

I first read this book when I was twelve and 7 years later it is still one of my all time favourites. Not just this one but the trilogy as a whole.

Maybe it's my love of history, or my love of magic but I found this book enchanting. Even though the writing seems more juvenile than I oviously thought when I was 12 - It is still one of the greatest stories I've ever read.

Después de tantos años sigo pensando que es una de las mejores historias que he leído :).

Medium-well. I really liked Isabel. Ethan was a bit of a cad at times. I can't see where all the mixed romance lines are headed (they're almost braided together, knotted in places, and sometimes severed)--but I mention this as a good thing. If it were too predictable (which it can be in spots) I'd have to take away a star. I think the beginning is a bit misleading. Definitely will read the rest of the trilogy (maybe even this week!)

This book is very good, its well written and plainly i just love it! Its so good i just couldnt put it down i think ill like the next book aswell and fingers crossed there's a little more romance ;)

I read this series in the early 2000’s and recently remembered them so decided to reread them. I probably am enjoying it more for nostalgia than anything else.
