could have been 150 pages shorter. lol. The playlist that goes with the book is also surprisingly good. Don’t sleep on it.

I don’t know if it’s because the narration of this audiobook was so perfectly done or if the book was just so well written, but I LOVED this book. I was sobbing at parts and laughing hysterically at others.

The chemistry between these characters was palpable.

I wish I had left this book to the end of my holiday read list because I’m not sure anything is going to live up to it.

This was wonderful. I loved it. I loved Whitney and I loved Eli and I loved the entire Collins family. I laughed and I cried and I smiled through out the entire book. All of the character and their stored were relatable.

This is everything a Christmas book should be. And also so different from every other Christmas book. Im so glad I found this and read it. Will definitely be picking up more of Kate Stewart’s books.

♥️❄️I think this book is a truly flawless story!

It’s a unique take on a second chance romance set during the cheery and hectic holidays.
The characters are so amusing, warm and VERY quirky. I want them to adopt me.
It’s as much a life and family story as it is a romance in my opinion. It’s balanced so well.
The comedy is impeccable. The story is full and so very gratifying.
The slow burn chemistry, the longing and the emotions hit me in waves.
The flashbacks move that part of the story along slowly throughout. I LOVE the way it was written.
It gave me FULL emotional impact in the perfect timing.
It has ALL the feels and SO many laughs!
It has incredibly smart and clever humor. The banter and quips are LIFE!
Literal laugh out loud moments that I couldn’t control my rolling, full belly laughter as I had tears running down my face. Pure joy!
All the characters have real life problems and of course the holidays and family bring the best and worst out of everyone.
The characters are beautifully flawed and lovable. I adore how the author writes strong, accomplished characters that have visible vulnerabilities.
They have moments when they don’t shine, they make the cringe worthy mistakes-it’s so refreshing and relatable!
I felt like I could actually see everything happening, it was a rare time when a book played out in my head like a movie. And I mean that in an incredible way! I’m not a terribly visual person, this was written in a way that I could picture every moment and that was so enjoyable!
The emotional parts are so poignant, real and subtly crafted. It’s really stunning in the execution. It’s such a delicate balance and I think it hit perfectly.
➖Movies as verbs is my new favorite thing♥️ Such a clever and hilarious aspect. Read it! Then you’ll see what I mean...WYKYK➖
The cast of characters is just dreamy! From Mom and Dad, the siblings, nieces and nephews and of course the incredible main characters Whitney and Eli. I adore every one of them and they all were ABSOLUTELY integral to the story.
I could give examples of so many favorite parts or the incredible quotes I highlighted, but I think it’s best to go in and experience it fresh from your perspective and find your favorites.
I think this is a truly rare book. It’s central parts are so universal and it’s just executed so impeccably. Nothing is over or under done.
I feel that it’s so rare for humor and big emotions to feel so natural and real.
Nothing felt contrived or false.
I rarely comment on epilogue’s, this one was exactly what I felt it needed. Nothing too much, no cheese thank you! It’s just enough to make my heart full and feel utterly appeased.
I tip my hat to the author, this is truly a one of a kind story that I know I’ll never forget and I’ll reread.
Did I mention the amount of happiness it gave me? SO, VERY MUCH!

This would be a PERFECT Hallmark Christmas movie. It's a witty and loveable Christmas story. Some moments pull on your heart, some warm your heart, and others just make you giggle. This is actually the first "Christmasy" book I've read, and going into it I expected it to be overall cheesy, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I completed the book in one sitting it was that catchy.

I knew this was going to be a 5 star read when I was only 20% of the way in. Kate Stewart always knows how to write a story that’s going to make you laugh and cry within the same chapter.

Whitney is going through it, passed up for her big promotion, her car is on its last leg and she just broke up with her casual boyfriend. Now she’s headed to spend Christmas with her family, but this year, her brother has brought a friend… the only man she’s ever loved, her ex from college that shattered her heart 17 years ago.

The family dynamic in this book was one of my favorite things about it, they were hilarious and truly loved each other. Whitney and Eli had sparks flying off the page from the moment they locked eyes, and I was LIVING for it.

Perfect Christmas read. I loved every second.
