A fun little romp for Zelda fans and the art work is exquisite.

Beautiful illustrations and a delightful reimagining of the Ocarina of Time story. They had to take some artistic liberties for the sake of the medium, but it's clear that the creators hold a fondness and respect for the game that every Zelda fan would appreciate. Loved it.

I've been a fan of Zelda for over 2 decades now and Ocarina of Time was my first game in the series. I was amazed by the game as a child and since discovering the manga have always been curious about how the game would translate in the written/drawn form. After finally reading the manga, I can say it works.

The art really captures the world of Hyrule, almost every panel is bursting with references and character. And this manga really adapts the game, so well. Obviously some changes had to be made, video games are an interactive media and Ocarina of Time was a game that has numerous side quests, secrets and fetch quests that wouldn't translate well to a different medium. But, the manga tries to include as much as possible and adapt it into an engaging story and it succeeds. It's fun.

It's not perfect mind you. Some of the things added to the manga like the characters having more character then the game they're from or adding more backstory or making items more meaningful (eg. the Deku Shield) are great and I wouldn't change them. They add to the overall story. But, it does mess with the pacing at times, more so in the second half of the story. Focusing too much of certain aspects and then ignoring important story beats from the game, because I imagine they didn't have enough chapters to cover it (eg. the water temple). If they could keep the added content, but have spread it out further than two volumes, I imagine the story could have been so much better.

Overall though, this is a great adaptation and more than anything has just made me want to replay Ocarina of Time for the hundredth time and honestly? There's no greater compliment I think an adaptation deserves, than reminding you how much you love the original.

Es ist sehr schön gemacht aber manchmal war es einfach viel zu fast paced (falls man das bei Mangas überhaupt sagen kann) Ansonsten aber super :)
