If I wasn’t already an Elton John fan, I would be now.  He lays it all out there - the drugs, the addictions, the temper tantrums - and takes full responsibility for it.  He blames no one but himself, something rare today.  And he does it with a sense of humor.  He’s really good at laughing at himself.  This is a must-read for any fan.

Elton John really does bare all in his autobiography Me. Beginning with his troubled childhood, into his relationships, sexuality, drug use, marriages, children, and of course, his music, he covers everything and tells stories I was shocked he was repeating. I have found that many autobiographies heavily edit and paint the subject into the best light possible, but Elton John went balls to the wall in this memoir and I loved it.

I found his heavy drug use fascinating, and I had no idea he was once married to a woman. I definitely recommend this to anyone who remotely likes him or his music.
