Tercera novela de Juan Gómez-Jurado y tercera novela que leo del autor, tras su biología sobre el ex oficial de inteligencia y sacerdote Anthony Fowler. En está se nota lo aprendido en sus novelas anteriores, es muy superior en todos los aspectos, tanto en ritmo, trama y construcción de personajes. En ella se entremezclan traiciones, intrigas, secretos, sociedades secretas, amores y una gran búsqueda; todo ello en el marco del periodo de entreguerras, en una Alemania donde la pobreza, y la inestabilidad política y social dan paso al horror que todos conocemos. Muy recomendable
Intresting idea, could have been a whole lot better. The writing did not catch me at all. It was just an unsatisfying read. What makes me really up set is I loved The Moses Expedition. I just don't know what happen with this book
Ha sido muy ameno. Me gusta mucho este autor y la historia ha estado bien, incluso engancha, pero para lo que es JG Jurado la he visto un poco floja. Creo que es una de sus primeras novelas y seguramente sera por eso. Aun así me ha gustado y la recomendaría. Saludos

Not only was this story/plot well crafted, but it was also very well written. The development of the characters created an intimacy with each character that didn't allow me to predict what they would do, but showed the complexity and humanity of each person. I couldn't put this down. I read it within 36 hours and stayed up late in order to finish.
I can honestly say that this book is unlike any other book that I have read. The Juan Gomez-Jurado beautifully mixes action, romance, and mystery into one extremely excited book! I found myself on the edge of my bed (where I enjoy reading the most) gasping at the events in the story. Gomez-Jurado's writing style left my kindle glued to my hands because I was unable to stop reading for the night. In fact, I even fell asleep one night reading this and not because it was boring but because I started reading at 10:00 and couldn't put the book down to go to bed.
As I am currently learning German and have been completely enthralled in German culture, this book has delivered a sense of understanding for how the German people suffered after WWI. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in German culture or even anyone who is just looking for a great story to read about.
P.S. There are plenty of plot-twists that you will never see coming!!!!

3,75. Es un libro lo cierto que muy bueno, con una trama que engancha absolutamente y unos personajes muy redondos que acompañas en su crecimiento. Pero yo aún me pregunto que tiene que ver el emblema del traídor, en mi opinión apenas sale en el principio y final y no creo que sea realmente el hilo conductor de la historia.
