3.5 stars. I LOVED THE LITTLE GIRLS. KIDS IN SINGLE PARENT BOOKS ARE TOP TIER. i read Wait for It by Mariana Zapata before and i think that made this book feel a little underwhelming. I loved dex for the first half and then hated the other because it had to take over 5 people for him to go after her and that just didn’t feel right to me. I did love him in the last couple chapters and the epilogue was wonderful. I really like Winnie but LUNA AND HALLIE CARRIED THIS BOOK.

Super cute fun read. Who doesn’t love a grumpy ex SEAL turned firefighter?! This book was the definition of grumpy / sunshine. The ending felt a bit rushed for my taste so that’s why it was knocked down .5 stars.
