This book made me tingle and giggle and I luuuv the single parent trope I could marry it tbh

I love how MH unfolds a story. There is family and heartbreak and hope. There are a lot of characters and children. Each written in the storyline with purpose to make you feel like you are a part of what is happening.

The girls were adorable and the parents flawed but together tried to create a new normal filled with happiness. This meant opening up to new people, being brave in the scariest of ways and accepting change. None of it easy, but all rewarding.

And the sex is smokin'.

Dex and Winnie

This was a very good read about how past hurts can hold you back or push you forward and live in the present. I have to say, this makes me glad to not have children running around. Lol do they ever stop

This was very good if you ignore a few small things.

If you pretend the mfc is closer to 30 than 20, it’s believable that she owns her townhome and is getting a great job offer to be an event planner for a brand new resort. Instead, probably because age gap, she’s 22, fresh out of college, has very little job experience, and could only own the townhome if she has money from her parents or someone paid for it for her. Mmcs temper and the way he talks to all four women/girls in his life when he’s upset is a HUGE Red Flag.

The word church is mentioned 20 times in the story, but we never actually see them at church or have religion discussed in the book at all. The first time they go to church, the word church is mentioned 13 times. I think that the author really wanted us to know that Dex takes his daughters to church. Church is mentioned repeatedly. Church.

Sometimes our fears are our driving force✨️

I'd be lying if I said I didn't predict the ending knowing that the daughter would now live her father's story, but I still enjoyed every chapter!

The author presents us with a scenario that feels like going back to where you were happy, at the beginning of everything, at the beginning of my adoration for this series. The truth is that seeing the personal growth and how the feelings develop between Winnie and Dex was beautiful, both have gone through difficult times and I identified a lot with both of them, the fear of not finding the right person, the fear of not being the right person, then when you are there and you know it is love... you doubt, but the fear of losing each other was what really motivated them to fight for their love.
Forever inlove with a perfect Grumpy-Sunshine story
