2⭐️⭐️ - I like a good age-gap, Birthday Girl and Kulti to name a few, but this one just felt gross.
- There was no connection or even surface-level similarities.
- They had barely said two words to each other before he thought of her in the shower while he took care of business.
- There was no lead up before their first Kiss. Winnie, the heroine, gave no indication that she was into it before he “crashed his lips to hers.” In fact, the entire time they were talking he wasn’t paying attention to what she was saying while he sexualized her in his mind.
- He infantilized her and compared her to his daughters multiple times. Just super weird.
- He was super shitty to his ex-wife.
I liked Birthday Girl and Kulti because both heroines could hold their own and were mature. Winnie didn’t seem that way, which made the age gap extra ick. Overall, I couldn’t deal and pulled the DNF plug.

So this is the first book I have read by this author and oh my goodness am I so happy that I found her. I plan on reading a lot more of her books. This one had all the feels. Laughter, tears and a bit of spicy bits. I loved those little girls and the family relationships and friendships that were present throughout the entire story. Fantastic read.

Cute and quirky. Hilarious and heart warming....this book just got me smiling the whole way through. It wasn't anything special in the way that I've read a lot of similar books.....but the humor just took this book to its own special place. I absolutely had a blast reading this because it made me smile and laugh so much. Very cute read!

Overall pretty good book! I wish Dex wasn’t so stubborn! Winnie was trying not to get feelings… but we all know the more we try the more it happens. Also I love how her relationship with Dex is like her dads with her step mother. And Luna and Hallie just melt my heart. The ending was wonderful

I can never say no to an age gap romance.
Age-gap, single dad, neighbors, firefighter and grumpy x sunshine This book had all the fun tropes and it was just a cute, spicy read. I had a really great time with it. In the beginning, I was a bit iffy with all the family and, idk, I kinda felt a bit lost, but that went away pretty quickly. I loved their friendship and just them hanging out together. The kids were so damm cute and normally I hate a big grand gesture at the end of books, especially if they are public, but this one was really fun to watch and I kinda found it cute.
It was also fun to see the parallels with her parents' book, (I didn't love that one, but still). And I'm kinda interested in reading her best friend's story in the future.
