Yeah this kinda felt like insta love or things just happened too quickly for me to feel fully invested in it. The parts I really enjoyed was when things slowed down and they got to know each other actually.
I just found it incredibly weird how many times Dex would bring up their age difference. And I love age differences but the amount of times he would refer her as a kid made me wonder like….why are you with her or attracted to her if you see her so much as a kid rather than a woman? Mentioning it once or twice is fine but doing it so many times I was like alright, please stop lol.
Loved Hallie and Luna, they were just really cute to read about!

I'm so happy when Melanie said she's going back to this world. I love this world so much and to get the second generation is everything. Not only that, but when Melanie said it's a single parent, I already know I'm going to love it.

The chemistry between Dex and Winnie was off the charts!! I'm totally in love with them. I laughed, swooned, got sad, mad, hurt, and happy again. Lol Everything about the book right when I start was amazing. I highly, highly recommend it!!

I read this because I wanted a spicy romance and this also gave me all the gooey feelings so it’s a big yes from me. Grumpy firefighter meets happy event planner, there’s an age gap, he has kids, there’s so many reasons why it shouldn’t work between them but no one can resist good chemistry I guess. Didn’t realise this was book 6 of a series though so hope that doesn’t matter.

i didn’t mind Winnie’s character at all, and loved how her and Dex’s relationship felt so easy getting started. always love a good single dad book because the kids are always hilarious and entertaining.

Super cute story. I loved the dynamics between all of them. Especially the daughters and how no one was to mean or pushy. Sweet and adorable, with spice.
Dex is the next door single dad to two great girls that will make you giggle. Winnie we know from the previous books- second generation and she is great. Dex is super grumpy and ex Seal now firefighter but hot as all hell. This is a age-gap romance which I'm not a big fan of but Harlow did a good job with this one- that I enjoyed it!
The meet-cute is priceless and lol. And now I want more of this series and the second generation!! Love this series and small town/area!
