I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. Hallie and Luna were my favorite characters, but I loved Winnie and Dex too. This is a steamy, fun novel that made me laugh and cry and left me feeling warm and fuzzy.

At this point I feel like I’m just hate-reading smutty Kindle Unlimited romance books because I can’t find one that doesn’t give me the ick.

With that being said, this wasn’t the worst. The humor is pretty good and I chuckled audibly a few times. Dex is a hard to love character and honestly I’m not approving of an age gap when the younger person doesn’t have a fully formed frontal lobe, but I’ll forgive it because it’s fiction and she’s technically legal at 22 years old. I no could’ve done without him brushing her hair though

I was wanting a single parent romance, and that is exactly what I got with this one!

I didn’t realize it was a part of a series whenever I picked it up, but I still really enjoyed it. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the series prior to picking this up, but IAM in the middle of like four series is right now and do not have the mental capacity to start another one. I also just simply wanted the single parent aspect that this book gave me, and I loved it.

Single dad romance. Age gap. Small town (I think?). Neighbors. Literally everything you could want and more. The writing was amazing. The smut was amazing. The character arcs were amazing. Dex is exactly what I needed when I pictured a single-dad, ex-Navy SEAL with two daughters who is now a FIRE FIGHTER??? Like I want him now

What. A. Book. Holy shit. I have been brooding on this review because I just didn't have words to describe how I felt about the book. This book is the sixth book in the Cloverleigh Farms series, but it's also the first book in the next-generation series. Which means.. all our beloved characters have aged, gotten families of their own and now their kids are finding love. In this book we meet Winnie. The youngest daughter of Mac from Irresistible. I loved the way the old characters were woven into this book and I definitely want to re-read now. Winnie and Dex are an odd couple, she is sunshine, he is grumpy, but together, they just work somehow. There is a twelve year age gap between these characters and although you do see this, it isn't hinderly. I'm not a huge age gap fan, but I really loved this one. Also, Melanie Harlow is the queen of writing single dad books. Every one of her single dad books are so freaking awesome. This one was just perfect. I loved the book, was hooked from start to finish, read it really fast and loved every single second of reading and being back in this world. Can't wait for the next one!

5/5 stars.

I love that these next generation books were written. It’s so fun when you get to see the children from the original series all grown up. I loved the parallels to book 1 in the original series. Winnie ends up in an age gap relationship just like her parents and I really liked that call back. Overall a really great read.

5⭐️ I loved everything about this book so much!! This has the tropes single parent, neighbors, and grumpy x sunshine. Winnie and Dex were amazing and perfect!!

a single-dad, firefighter romance that’ll have to giggling from start to finish? yes please. i loved this, particularly the family aspect. can’t wait to read taste. enjoy my thoughts while reading:
