This book had it's moments that were enjoyable and heart warming, but other times it was frustrating. The characters had their moments, I liked Josie and Lucky, Evie was great as well, and the grandma was amazing. I liked how it gave a twist to don't criticize everyone, even family, when you don't know the whole story. I wish we had gotten to see more of the grandma and the back story there. Sometimes the dialogue was too much and didn't cover anything worthwhile. Like I said, it had it's moments and there were enjoyable things, but overall it was just an ok book.

An adorable, heartfelt rom-com perfect for fans of GILMORE GIRLS. I’ve been a fan of Jenn Bennett’s since her debut, ALEX APPROXIMATELY, came out. Her stories are always a delight with characters who feel real, dialogue that sparkles, and snarky banter that melts her readers’ hearts while making them laugh out loud. CHASING LUCKY was no exception. In fact, this is hands-down my favorite of her books yet. From its sweet romance to its charming, sea-side setting, this book has everything I love in a YA contemporary romance.
My full review can be found on the Epilie Aspie Chick blog!
Jenn Bennett has a gift for writing great contemporary novels. While they do feature cute couplings, they always focus on some other plot point that speaks to an important truth about life. With this book, that truth is around realizing that everyone is flawed and that when we put people on pedestals, the fall tends to be catastrophic.

3.0 out of 5.0 stars
I enjoyed this, but honestly I dropped it like a full star because toward the end there is a very stupid "misunderstanding" between the two main characters just to add unnecessary drama that annoyed me to no end. It's my least favorite trope when one character suddenly becomes stupid to merit one last obstacle to their relationship and I thought this book had avoided it, but no.

Amazing book! It’s easy and delightful. I was already in love with Lucky on page 67. He has my heart. Josie develops during the book significantly.
I really loved this book, it’s a heart warmer story.

Cute. Not my fave Jenn Bennett YA but it does not diminish my love and appreciation for her writing. Too much misunderstanding trope-yness, which the book acknowledges but still.
