I enjoyed the parts about her coming into her sexuality, travel abroad, and the evolution of the WNBA. Otherwise, I felt overwhelmed by the intensity of pressure Candace’s put on herself to be the perfect basketball player and mother. It’s her story but as a reader it just felt so singularly focused and repetitive. I skipped forward several times throughout and still felt like I heard the same refrain several times.

Pretty good. Kind of wish it was just in chronological order rather than being ordered around the acronym, I feel like the motivation and the self-help elements still would’ve come out if it was structured more like a classic memoir. Incredible what WNBA players have to go through in the offseason because the WNBA doesnt pay enough. I would’ve been curious to hear her thoughts and perspective on Brittney Griner’s detention in Russia

Candace Parker gives an authentic glimpse into her life experiences. I enjoyed reading this book but I may have preferred if it went in chronological order.
