I don't like short stories. And I don't like short stories written by Tom Hanks. I don't even like short stories written and read by Tom Hanks. Listened to the audiobook. Meh. Not terrible, but I find it hard to get into something so short. One story interested me, but that's all that engaged me.

Tom Hanks is a lovely person, but I didn't feel any sort of a connection to these stories. They're decently written, but somehow I felt like something was lacking.

Well written short stories that are almost parables with a lesson to be understood about the characters and their actions or inactions. Some felt a bit too tidy and formulaic with no real chances taken with the writing. Still very enjoyable straight forward short stories.
