This was a fun book to read, not only just for my love of Tom Hanks, but the old-timey feel of the writing, which was even more fun with Hanks himself reading the audiobook. I wasn't over the moon about any of the stories, but caught every reference to a previous story's character when they came up again. Overall, I think any Tom Hanks lover would love to read this book, and a cute winter time read!

Some were quite good, some were okay, I appreciate most of all the common thread of the typewriter throughout the stories. I think if this weren't written by Tom Hanks, I may not have picked it up. It was a nice, light read though.

Vanilla stories that all felt like nostalgia for the 50s. Meh.

Enjoyed the audio book read by Tom Hanks and some special guests

I listened to this book, also read by Tom Hanks. It was a book I had planned on reading, as I heard the type differed story to story based on the type writer that was used to write it. I'm not a huge short story fan, as soon as I'm invested, the story is over. It was an enjoyable book and Hanks is a great narrator.

The man is a frickin' national treasure.

Not what i thought it was

I really wanted to like this collection of stories more since they were written by Tom Hanks, but they were just “okay” to me. I really enjoyed some of stories and would have liked to read more but I felt the majority were just alright.
