Pleasantly surprised by this one! I enjoyed the first arc of the series decently enough but starting the second arc wasn’t a big priority. Now that I’ve finished the first book of the second arc, I wish I’d read it sooner! The plot is more complex than I’d expected given the age of the intended readers, but still appropriately explained for them. This meant I was actually surprised at a few turns, which doesn’t often happen for me when reading middle grade books!
Since we get so much perspective from Moon, a mind reading dragon, every character feels well rounded and interesting. They have backstories and motivations that are briefly touched on, and I’m sure will be explained further. We get a nice taste of them here.
Overall I enjoyed this one even more than the first arc, and I’m definitely going to continue reading!

My second favorite book in the series from the perspective of Moon. Another great adventure and introduction to some new characters.

i was hesitate when i saw the next plot line was a school but it was surprisedly good.  There was a lot of fun and funny scened

The mystery is great. The act that the main character can read minds does not take away from the mystery. there are limitations to her abilities that works for the world.

Moonwatcher is an entertaining protagonist and it was entertaining to see what everyone was thinking. It was a unique way to get to know everyone. Moonwatcher’s mind reading ability was written well. There are also flaws with being able to read other dragon’s minds. I like how they address how complicated the mind can be and just because someone thinks something doesn’t mean they are going to do it.

All the characters are really entertaining and fun.

I enjoy the mystery of you don’t know whether you can trust darkstalker or not.

I dislike Moon, great book though! She isn't that bad, I can still easily root for her.

While reading I felt meh about this book. I didn’t feel as gripped by these characters. However, I grew more interested toward the end of the book. I’m now very intrigued to read the next one!

Heard on audiobook. A nice beginning to a new series in the Wings of Fire. Great to see the set up & I wonder how it will all play out.

The LORE in this book! I love it! Just only 4 stars because of filler. BUT IT’S STILL AMAZING!
