This one had themes of self confidence, prejudice and “racism” against other tribes (races) of dragons as they go to an integrated school in the mountain.
It was amazing!!!! I have to read the next book immediately!!!
After finishing the first half of this series, I wasn't very intent on beginning a new chapter of this middle grade series, and this book had been lying in my shelves for a while now. However, my 11 year old student who lent me this book was insistent, as was my 13 year old sister - both of them LOVED this book. And now, so do I. It was SO much fun to read from the POV of a dragon who can read minds, and the new twists don't feel forced at all.
I liked that this introduced the next group of dragons we follow. It was a little hard to keep track of all the characters and names, but I enjoyed the main.
Did you enjoy the Hunger Games, but wish that Katniss would light somebody on fire BECAUSE SHE WAS A DRAGON? If so, this book is for you.

I had wondered how Tui Sutherland was going to top her first Dragonet Quartet, yet somehow, she’s created an even more adorable protagonist for her second series in this world.
She keeps the characters, and more importantly, their integrity as continuing secondary characters from the first quartet, and builds more depth into her world.
I have ZERO shame in having this many feels about children’s books.
