This made me cry (happily) at work, I can firmly say it's one of my favorite picture books.

I love this book. And I am pleasantly surprised how good the translation is. The messages, the rhymes... everything is perfect!

A wonderful rhyming story dealing with the issue of identity in a very child friendly way. The illustrations are eye catching and fun, the story emphasises that being different is to be celebrated and the ending is happy and hopeful. Suitable as a read aloud for children aged 3+ this would be a great prompt for discussions on gender and individuality in a classroom setting.

I saw this book on my Tiktok for you page and heard the author’s reading of the book. I loved it! I wished I had this book when I was younger, such cute illustrations and an impactful message for a kid’s book.

A great story of representation. Not all boys are blue and not all girls are pink. I love this concept of having a shadow that’s different color, and the representation of a non-binary person in a Children’s book!

One of my favorite books we have in our children library collection. We are working on adding more diverse content to our collection and this is perfect. It made both my husband and I cry the first time we read it and has opened great conversations with our kids about all different types of things.
