This is probably the most practically helpful self improvement book I have read. It succinctly outlines a series of steps for making small adjustments that can lead to habit changes. I read this book slowly and implemented some of the steps and strategies in my own life in areas where I wanted to make changes, and while it has only been a few weeks, I have stuck to my goals and feel like I am forging new habits that are helping me meet some goals. The issue when I tried to make changes and failed in the past wasn’t a lack of motivation but rather a lack of good systems and environments that enable changes.

If you are interested in this book, it is probably insightful enough on its own, but I recommend reading it when you have some habits you are trying to reshape so you can read it and implant changes as you go.

I will read again, this had a lot of great tools and reasons behind why they worked.

A very quick read, with a lot of ideas presented simply without being patronising. Would definitely be useful for those looking for ways to develop better habits. I personally didn't find it to useful and felt that sometimes the process of developing habits was so abstract from daily life that it felt overly aspiring. I think the most important aspect of the book was just at the end before the conclusion about how establishing habits is about creating an identity that is personal and meaning must be done so independent from a role, title, or 'noun'. This is implicit but I think valuable when thinking about the person you want to be or become.
