Probably my least favorite in the series, but glad I finally read them all.
This book...was amazing. I'm typing this as a review of the series in its entirety. The whole series was amazing, but this book was the best. I don't think I have ever read a book with an ending that was this perfect. I will not put any spoilers in this review, haha. It can't be spoiled! It's so much better to read when you don't know what is coming next. I am so glad that I took the chance to read this series.
Aslan is such an amazing character. C. S. Lewis writes in such an evocative writer. I think that is what made the series so spectacular. I could see every moment in my head and feel every emotion the characters felt!
I strongly recommend this to anyone who is considering reading it. I really hope you like it.

Shockingly racist and mysoginistic in addition to hitting you over the head with insinuations about religion. I really did not remember the racism at all and it was pretty upsetting

Oof. I haven't been writing reviews for each of the individual Narnia books so far, but reading this book in 2022 highlighted certain aspects of this series that are problematic, specifically, the descriptions and treatment of Calormen (you might as well have called them colored men as they were clearly intended to be understood). Described as savages, haughty, the "Darkies" are the villains in this series, while the white Narnians were the heroes. I was able to overlook the implicit racism in earlier books, but it was on full display in the grand finale and definitely made me cringe on more than one occasion.
It was a beautiful end to the series, but wow the implicit assumption of white people == good and black people == bad is on full display here, and no amount of storytelling can compensate for that.

This is the last book and will make you laugh, cry and just leave you under its spell of heartbreak and tragedies this tale is such a twist and turn that will have you gripe to the very end and leave you in a mass of tears. 5/5

After only finishing half the books during my childhood, I had some preconceived notion of this book from a Chronicles of Narnia pop-up book we had.
WRONG
I don’t think you can actually spoil this book, BUTI didn’t really think this book would take place in essentially ONE scene. I know that isn’t exactly correct, but you know what I mean
