Mentally, I keep going between a 4 and 5 star review for this book, so let’s settle on 4.5.
A beautiful conclusion to the series. I don’t think I’ve ever fully read the series - so I enjoyed it all so much! There’s so much nostalgia in the characters from beginning to end, watching them grow and develop into wise, faithful, and courageous people.
While reading this book, it didn’t take long to say “I think I’m reading about the Antichrist?” to myself. While I got frustrated with the book because of those parallels (thinking I would *never* be fooled like that), it painted a compelling picture as to how people can get easily turned around with false doctrine/information, and how that can snowball into selfish power/tyranny.
I was somehow surprised by how the book concluded, but easily accepted the means to the end. The series ended wonderfully, and I am so glad I got to experience the series as a whole!

Tudo tem um fim. Gostei da saga como um todo. Vale a pena ler.

Har på en måte tatt et valg om ignorere alle de uheldige delen av C. S. Lewis som person (kvinnesyn, rasisme, religion) og bare vurdere bøkene ut fra et litterært perspektiv (eller, kanskje mer riktig, jeg tilgir Lewis alt, fordi jeg elsker Narnia som verden så høyt), men her tar det til tider litt av. Syns dog at boka like fult er veldig god på sitt beste (hjerteknusende) og at Lewis skal få poeng for å ha turt å skrive en slik avslutning. Han sparer ikke på krutt mannen.

Yeah it’s a children’s book. Sad ending to my fav children’s movie trilogy but good to know the whole story
I never read this one as a kid. I’m glad I didn’t! I was hopeful and excited to see how this series ended. Wow. I’m speechless that THIS is how it all wraps up. Speechless. OMG SUSAN
