Snorri you bastard, the world owes you and I owe you. What a service you have done.

Either a poor translation or Snorri Sturluson is a dull writer. I imagine this is Snorri's fault.

Stories start, but usually fall into a collection of random facts and information. I found the Poetic Edda to have more clear stories.

You can't really review a book like this. After all, it's a miracle to have access to an 800 year old book. It is deeply fascinating, and I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of any type of fantasy literature.

Surprisingly enjoyable to read. Readability is not often something that goes with thousand year old stories, but I found the stories somewhat absurd and funny.

The first section of the book is a dialogue between a man and gods, which is more similar to the catechism than it is to a Socratic dialogue, though that may be too specific a reference for some people.

Anyrate, it's very good.
