Volume Two of Monstress was a much quicker and easier read than Volume One.
The art continues to be incredible, Sana Takeda is an absolute goddess-tier artist. There seemed to be a lot less going on in this volume story-wise, things are starting to come together and make sense. I love the main trio of Maika, Kippa, and Ren. Still so many questions, and can’t wait to see what happens next!

this series is so good it makes me want to cry! i loved all the sea elements in this installment it's all done so beautifully!
Things are ramping up! Oh this was so good, absolutely loving this series. So many questions about the plot, the culture, the history, but things are being slowly revealed....which leads to more questions. The writing is wonderfully complicated and the art is beautiful and it makes such a lovely pair.

I cannot get over just how beautiful the art is in this series. Sana Takeda's muted palette and style are perfectly pared with this epic fantasy story.

This volume answered a lot of the lingering questions from the previous volume and did a much better job of giving lore of the world as well as driving the story forward.
Lots of new and interesting questions were brought up in this volume and I'm excited to read the next one.

Still one of the most beautiful comics of the modern age, but I'm getting increasingly frustrated with how the world building is doled out in these little expositional monologues at the end of chapters.
