The message about adoption kind of took me by surprise! I wish the entire book focused on that.

I have no authority to review this whatsoever but saw it at the library and figured why not.

The illusions made my happy. It rhymed for the most part. Would totally give this to little children. Especially becuase I know they'd bug their parents for ever to get a dog.

This book has cute, colorful illustrations and a nice message about love. The part about adoption seems somewhat randomly inserted in the middle of the story, but it's nice to see a book from the perspective of an adopted child that isn't about adoption.

This is from a Christian publisher, but it has mainstream appeal. There's a reference to singing in a church choir, and the character talks about caring for all of God's creatures, but this is mainly just a cultural backdrop. There are no references to specific beliefs. If someone is seeking out more explicitly Christian content, this will be a disappointment, but secular readers shouldn't avoid this because of the faith-based publishing house.

A huge thanks to Thomas Nelson for a complimentary copy . All opinions expressed are my own.

This book follows the delightful Kristi who is full of love and openly shares her love in small acts such as weeding her neighbors garden and singing in the choir among other things. I highly recommend this book to everyone and though aimed at young children it can really impact you and remind you of what love can do in society. I recommend

'What Will I Do with My Love Today?' This story focuses on a young girl who wonders about how she can spread love everyday. The story is really sweet, and focuses on important themes such as kindness, adoption, loving yourself and loving others, and helping people.

It's very comforting, with lovely illustrations. My only negative comment is that I found it a tad cringy, for example whilst they were shopping, or when she adopted 'Thunderpup'.

However, children will love this book. I'd recommend it for children aged 8 and under. But it can be used for older pupils, to develop word comprehension and fluency. It could be used as a hook, to link important themes which were previously mentioned.

Told from the perspective of a young girl, What Will I Do With My Love Today? is a sweet story of how a heart full of love can bless all of God's creatures in so many ways.

The reader follows along the young girl's beautiful examples of how we can spread love and kindness to all who cross our paths. A child reading this, as well as their parents, will be inspired to use their gifts and time to make those around us smile. This is also a fantastic book for those with blended or adopted families (even those with furry adopted friends!) as the young girl has a wonderful message about love for those who aren't blood, bonded in different ways but family all the same.

I am SO excited to buy this book as a gift for my children and their friends! This is a lovely children's book that all should have on their bookshelves.
