The way I devoured this duology. It was such a good time! I try to avoid YA as a millennial but this had me forgetting that it was YA. There were some great plot twists and oh shit moments. Fated mates. Mild enemies/reluctant allies to friends to enemies to lovers and friends to lovers to enemies to friends.
I’m so glad I stuck out this series. BRIE FINALLY BECOMES A BADASS.
Honestly I wasn’t hoping for alot after the first but this was 99p so I thought ‘may as well try it ’
The writing style was much better and Brie’s character actually developed a personality and a backbone at the same time.
Plus the romance was CUTE AF in the end. Finn has my heart always and forever ❤️

This book was honestly such a disappointment. The first one was AT LEAST tolerable, but THIS?? This was so bland, no offense to those who liked it but it quite literally just contained a protagonist who kept on going on about how 'she was not special', and two guys who were completely smitten with her, and FOR WHAT?? It had some editing mistakes and a love triangle that was so annoying (I could not for the life of me read Sebastien's dialogues near the end of the book) and now that we're talking about Sebastien, I'll just say, he isn't even worthy enough for me to write a whole paragraph for his is idiocy, blandness, and selfishness. I will say however he made me want to DNF that book right then and there, I mean WHY WOULD YOU FORCE SOMEONE TO BOND WITH YOU? Are you that desperate of love, you whiny, bratty, idiotic excuse of a 'king'. And FINN- He was honestly so mysterious, and the dark brooding guy in a love triangle in teh first book, and NOW?? He was just a total simp for brie
