I loved how this book ended and I wish there was another one! I’m sad I won’t be able to see how their relationship goes and how the kingdom is doing.

Truly such a good read! I was shocked that this became a 5 star book for me but by the end I was I was crying and smiling and gasping in disbelief. I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I did but I’m so glad I decided to read them. It feels unfair that it’s only a duology, I never want MORE books in a series but this one feels like it deserves one more!

I love the first book but this book didn't work for me.
If you call this book a romantasy, the romance is so terrible and confusing. I don't know why every character keep thinking that Brie has a pull with Finn while I see they are friends at most. Yes, he taught her magic, trained with her and had a spicy scene in the bathroom (which is super force to me) but I cannot feel their chemistry as an couple, no spark. I rather call Bash as a MMC than Finn.
And if you call this book a fantasy romance, the fantasy is so terrible. I dropped this book at 56% which is quite a lot into the book but there wasn't much thing important events happened. Brie kept playing with Bash's feeling and she didn't even get her stand about her feeling to him. What do you want to tell me when she keep reminding me about his betrayal and how she could not see herself forgive him, and then you tell me how she could sense his grief, regret, etc.... What is that for????! And don't make me mention how she is jealous with girls around both Bash and Finn :))) That's too much.
Anyways, I think Bash deserves more and I also deserve something better than reading this, thanx.

gurl wut.
The first third of this book, nothing happens. The second third, things start to roll and the romance starts heating. And in the last third? THE ENTIRE PLOT* HAPPENS IN THREE PAGE SPURTS. Lexi. Lexi! It’s called pacing, my dude.
Mild spoilers:
* reveal of love, lifelong commitment, an epic journey, kidnapping, despair, assassination, betrayal, war, another kidnapping, curses broken, a coronation, a wedding, ALL OF IT.
