This was the perfect conclusion to the duology. Lexi Ryan kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end — every time I thought I had things figured out, another twist would drop, and I’d be second-guessing everything. The constant “is she really going to do this?” tension had me hooked, especially with the possibility of Brie ending up with Sebastian.
The plot twists were masterfully done — enough to keep the story unpredictable without feeling overwhelming, and each one made perfect sense in hindsight. There were no lazy reveals, no glaring plot holes, just a tight, satisfying narrative.
I loved watching Brie grow into a stronger, sharper version of herself while still keeping the vulnerability that makes her human.Her romance with Finn was beautifully built up — the slow burn, the tension, and the eventual payoff were perfection.
The ending felt earned and complete, the perfect balance of closure and emotional satisfaction. This duology has cemented Lexi Ryan as one of my new favorite authors.

Mais moins que le premier tome.
J’ai été un peu déçue de l’héroïne que j’ai trouvé un peu « jeune » dans sa façon de réagir (je ne sais pas comment exprimer ce ressenti). J’aurai aimé qu’elle soit plus mature vu que c’est le 2ème tome et aussi au vu de tout ce qu’elle a traversé.
L’histoire d’amour m’a laissé mitigé, j’ai aimé la finalité mais j’ai trouvé que le triangle amoureux était lassant…
Et la résolution du conflit était carrément trop simple

Я помню, что мне безумно понравилась первая часть, вторая же немного подкачала. Слишком много рефлексии, часто хотелось закатывать глаза. При этом шло повествование в среднем темпе и вдруг внезапно резкий и очень скомканный конец. Было ощущение, что частично списано с АКОТАРа и Стеклянного трона (особенно конец). Ну, и еще не понравился не очень качественный перевод. Но в целом не плохая диология.

Yes, there's a reason why people gave more stars to the second book. This is a fucking masterpiece. Everything was so well written, intense, intriguing, perfect. I was so anxious to understand everything, how could she save the realms. I never expected the book to end like this, I was already accepting the worst you know? I'm having such a mental breakdown right now... One of the best fantasy books I've ever read. No words.
