Losing Hope

Colleen Hoover

4.0 AVERAGE

I’m sad to say I was actually a little disappointed by this one :/
I don’t think it needed to be a sequel… it could of easily been worked into hopeless. Yes hopeless would of then been a longer book but majority of Losing hope (including conversations between Sky and Holder) I had literally just read the day before in hopeless.
SOME POSITIVITY:
I did enjoy the diary aspect and I really liked getting to know Daniel and Breckin a bit better and understanding why Les decided to do what she did.
hopeful sad medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

MUST READ! This book is from Holder’s perspective and I usually don’t like to read books like this cause it’s the same story retold. But I’m so glad I read it. It was really beautiful to know what Skye was feeling while also seeing what Holder was seeing. I didn’t think it was possible for me to fall more in love with his character. These 2 books were so good cause they really kept me hooked and the plot was very unpredictable. I have seen many people say these are the best Colleen Hoover books and I have to agree. 10/10 amazing

As obsessed as I am with holder and sky, the second book just seemed a little bit unnecessary. I love his point of view, but I just felt like I was reading the same book over again, and I found myself skimming a bunch of different parts. I already knew it was going to happen, and the dialogue was the same Word for Word, so it was really frustrating, trying to get to the new parts of his point of view the ending I loved because of the closure it gave the reader as well as the characters. I felt like I was left on a cliffhanger with hopeless.

i did not like how this book started (ifykyk)
but i loved getting dean's perspective

I like this book but it was like reading the first one all over again so I didn’t really see anything new in this book. The writing was done well!

only lower cause it felt like i was rereading but it was still good and i loved the ending and the scenes that werent in hopeless:)

And then there's this one. This is a great follow-up to Hopeless, gut-wrenching, holding on until done book.

If you think Hopeless was painful to read, the hurt that this book will give you would be even worst.
