Losing Hope

Colleen Hoover

i would’ve liked this so much better if it wasn’t basically just the same as the first book. this was from holder’s pov, which i liked to see because i really disliked him in the first book. i still kinda do but now i understand him. the majority of the book was basically just copy and pasted from the first one. and i already knew what happened so i wasn’t really that interested.

It is such a good book! It very suspenseful and had me on the edge of my seat. I love this book so much!

I really don’t understand how Colleen Hoover can take Hopeless and put it in Dean Holder’s POV but still manage to make it it’s own seperate story.
While the plot and timeline were basically the same, she didn’t fail to keep me hooked. I loved seeing everything from Dean’s POV. I legit couldn’t put it down once I got into it.
Dean Holder is my new favourite book boyfriend and I’m literally hurt that Sky and Deans story is over. The way he was just so obsessed with her. Ugh. I can’t.

OMG okay this might be an unpopular opinion but can I just say how much I loved Daniel?! And Breckin!! I honestly wish they were my friends because I think they would easily be my best friends! I just loved their loyalty, sass, friendly banter and protectiveness of their best friends that it made my heart melt! I'm a bit disappointed that they weren't, especially Daniel, mentioned much in the first book but oh well I'm really glad I read this one. I can go on and on about how much I love them but let's get back to the story. I liked reading about Holder's point of view especially since this was an intense story. It explained those moments when Holder would be quiet to just to think and why he stopped talking to Sky for a while. I started this book with low expectations thinking it's going to be just the same as the first one just in Holder's point of view but I was definitely impressed. I got completely into the story just like I did for the first book.

Really good POV from Holder, I loved his insight and thought process. I was expecting a little more about their future rather than an entire retelling of their story, but I love the story so much so it was definitely a great read.

I didn't think I would LOVE this book as much as I did. I don't generally like when I read second POV books, but I really did love it. I read the first so long ago that some of it seemed all new lol. I truly believe Colleen Hoover is a DROID or something, because I never heard of her and now she just keeps pumping out awesome-ness over and over and over.

I feel like at this point, I’m just being repetitive. Colleen Hoover = Greatness.

It was interesting to read essentially the same book but it Holder’s POV. It was nice being able to read his thought process and why he had distanced himself after the bracelet fiasco.

Also, the letters were a really nice touch. I don’t have any biological siblings, so it was nice to learn how much he loved his sister. It showed a really compassionate and broken side of Holder.
Oh and that letter entry about why he decided to be called Holder instead of Dean was absolutely heart breaking. Good job Hoover. You did great, yet again.
