I loved this book. It’s been my favorite of the Bedwyns so far! Joshua was a breath of fresh air in a genre full of brooding, serious, emotionally damaged Heros. And Freyja had the “I’m not like other girls” thing about her but in a non-cheesy way that didn’t make me want to roll my eyes. And I loved their relationship, it felt like it developed naturally.

Utterly charming! Josh is a lovely rake with a heart of gold. Freyja is the queen of sass.
3.5?????
enjoyable, loved frejya, repetitive language extremely noticable on audio, a little annoyed at how long frey took to come around to actually marrying the love of your life.
I was really annoyed in the last book at how obviously terrible the villains were and how no one ever talked back. I love that this book set up frejya punching the villain in the face as Chekhov's gun and then executed it flawlessly. in general, more people seemed aware in this one that the previous which felt full of one-dimensional characters!!
tw: CSA & rape discussed as happening to secondary characters. no details.

Freyja's story. Freyja's meeting with Joshua Moore is not auspicious, but Freyja and Joshua's fake betrothal lasts much longer than they expect.
Probably more of a 3.5, but I enjoy a strong heroine and a fun-loving, humorous male lead.

I found this to be a pretty solid entry into this series! I love Freyja as a protagonist as I think she has a lot of interesting traits that make her perspective and the challenges (mostly self-inflicted) that she faces very compelling. I also think Joshua is very strong as a main male love interest. His and Freyja's dynamic was always fun and lighthearted, and I appreciated that he was all-in on their relationship so much quicker than she was and spent much of the back half of the book trying to convince her to make their fake engagement real.
All in all, this was great! Definitely one of the stronger entries into the series!

I think Joshua is one of my all time favorite rakes, so funny, clever, and sweet. I liked this book, I am reading the whole series in order and I can't wait for Wulf's book! Looks like next up is Morgan.
4.5 stars rounded to 5.
I'd been looking forward to Freyja's story since I first began the series and it did not disappoint. There were times I thought Josh might be too much of a lightweight for her, but overall they're a good match and I was rooting for them all the way. The story is fun and I was completely caught up in how they would ever decide to actually be engaged. This was a fun romp and a great pairing.

4.5 stars. FREYJA!!!!! Man, I really enjoyed this one. I'm not sure if this was my favorite yet, and there were definitely some small issues I had with it, but I think I liked it at least as much as the 2nd one, if not moreso. I JUST REALLY ENJOY FREYJA! And I liked the dynamic between her and Josh so much, including her punching him twice within the first week of knowing him. Plus, I always really enjoy pretend dating/engagements as a trope!!!
