Holy lanta- listen to this book on audio- it is one of the best audio listens I have had in a long time. I did not ever see the twists coming; the plot line was to the point and engaging. It was basically listening to the First 48 podcast.

I enjoyed this! Very few authors can pull off having so many narrators but AR Torre managed it well and I don’t think the story would have been as good with fewer. Great kindle unlimited find!

If you like “popcorn thrillers” and celebrity Hollywood stories, this is a good choice.

I sped read through this and was hooked. but the ending leaves a lot to be desired. It was messy the whole book, which is great in a mystery. but then everything just got immediately wrapped up and it suddenly felt super rushed.

Also, it would’ve been cool to have been left wondering which brother actually survived. I would have believed it more that Hugh decided to pretend to be trent in the end so that he could get away with the murders. I’m surprised she didn’t even hint at that or anything.

It started really well. I really got into it. Small chapters made the book easy to get into because it felt quick and tense. Murder. Hollywood. Actors. Who do you trust…

And then it sort of slowed down. A lot. Lots of going back and forth which I can imagine would happen with high profile cases I guess. But I just thought the ending was a bit rushed. I guessed most of it apart from one single twist at the end. But that twist just… it was okay. Bit unnecessary. The “murderer”, the motive behind the killings was just a bit weak. And the target victims… again just so random. Nothing to do with their past trauma. Almost very randomly selected. I don’t understand how they would’ve been trolling Facebook pages to find victims to murder 😒

Always 50/50 with this authors books for me. Some I’ve enjoyed and others, like this book, have been a bit of a let down sadly. Good premise but executed badly.

This light mystery/thriller was enjoyable, even though it lacks the twists and psychological aspects that thrillers typically have. However, it was still engaging and kept me interested throughout, despite it being somewhat predictable.
