This is one of the best written P&P Variations that I have read. It has an excellent plot, develops the characters well, is witty and bright but also contains enough drama and angst to keep it interesting, without being over the top.
Mrs Bennet had me laughing out loud. Georgiana was adorable. I loved that the conflict was not centred around Wickham, Miss Bingley, Mr Collins and Lady Catherine, but on the misunderstandings and development of Darcy and Lizzy's relationship.
There's great chemistry and banter which really works. The original characters created by the author are charming and fit nicely with the plot.
I thoroughly enjoyed this!

In this Pride and Prejudice variation, Elizabeth, after the Hunsford proposal, while still angry at Darcy rips up his letter. In his presence. Though he leaves Rosings despair overwhelms him for many months. Meanwhile Miss Lizzy and Miss Ana have become friends. Then one day Elizabeth appears at his home in town asking for his help with finding Wickham. The long journey begins for both of them, a journey that must end with them admitting their feelings to each other.
An enjoyable and well-written story. More of a 3.5 rating

Oh, what a nice variation of Pride&Prejudice!!

I'm not sure whether I would give 5*, but it def. deserves 4.

For me, it was just a tid bit too much. Both of our MCs have faults and I can't even begin to describe them :D
Both are stubborn and don't really talk about their feelings - with noone. For quite some time ;-)
Darcy is conceited and pretty judgmental in the beginning but he knows that. I didn't necessarily love that he just wouldn't apologize to Lizzy and converse with her normally for such a long time.
Same goes for Lizzy. She had her own preconceived notions and yet, fails to discuss them with Darcy. But that's what happens in the Jane Austen novel as well, so I can't really blame them.

Plot?
Well, I simply loved the whole Bingley story. Would have loved to see him broken-hearted, though. There is some talk about it, yes, but we don't really get to see him that way. I also adored that he confronted Darcy but he's still a loyal friend who has it in him to forgive his Bf. What a bromance.

I also adored that Miss Darcy has so much screentime, so to say. She's basically your third MC and that's awesome.

And their aunt was just amazing! Without her interference at times, everything would have probably lasted much longer. I adored her, especially whens he talked to Bingley about his sisters. Thanks for clearing that one up!

There is not a lot drama in there, especially as we have probably all read Jane Austen and therefore know how it will end and what will happen in the middle etc. Nevertheless, I liked the changes and the elaborations.

All in all, I can only recommend. Also because of the writing style. Pretty genius. And very nice to read. There were some repetitions that annoyed me a bit (like that of the words amiable and voluble) but hey :D

I've read quite a few books by this author, and I found that this one satisfied my expectations and settled neatly into the middle range of my order of enjoyment. There were things that I loved about it, and a few things that I didn't, but overall I really enjoyed the story and would recommend it.

The secondary characters were done very well here, and that's something I've noticed in her other books--particularly my favorite, [b:His Uncle's Favorite|18129811|His Uncle's Favorite|Lory Lilian|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1372343813s/18129811.jpg|25464972]. I became very attached to Lady Hardwick (who is a very nice alternative participant to Lady Catherine), and my usual favorites were done very well. My only complaint in that area was not getting to see Colonel Fitzwilliam more, but that's a personal thing and not at all a complaint about the book itself. My biggest complaint about the book was that Darcy felt inconsistent at times. His spurts of anger and lapses in judgement felt very out of sync with his rational, nice-guy moments. I felt that his "bad" moments either needed to be a little less severe, or that the shadows of those bad moments needed to appear a little more in other areas.

I loved the slow-build romance and only wished that there had been more opportunity to see Darcy and Elizabeth together outside of a few teasing exchanges over dinner. It did make their transition into being a couple seem a bit more abrupt--but that's only a minor nitpick and didn't really detract from my enjoyment.
