The novel that made me love reading, first read it when I was about 12 or 13. I am definitely biased in this review, but it really is one of King's finest and a very moving text.

As entertaining as I hoped - I was so happy Mr. Jingles came back, and the buildup of the plot!!!! - but so frustrating that Paul Edgecombe spent so much effort using John Coffee as a tool to save Melinda Moore’s life, as if hers was so much more precious than John’s. Also disappointed that Stephen King used the “magical negro” trope to a tee.
