After “The Wife Between Us” I thought I’d never read this author again. The ending of that book was infuriating. I still think about it and get mad. But honestly, this was good. I felt detached from the book while reading it, which might have to do with me listening to the audiobook while drawing, but most likely the tedious pace of the book. Still, it’s a good story with a neatly tied ending. Good, not great. I recommend it if you’re not in the mood for a book that requires too much attention.
I was intrigued by the premise and grew more interested as I read, but the “twists” and “surprises” were painfully anti-climatic. It fell flat for me.
