Take a breath and find your home
Do you ever blink and the book is over, but you still want more?! That's precisely what happened to me when I opened this book. From their very first interaction, Chase and Megan are pure entertainment. This book has everything from cornfields to mud puddles, cold grilled cheeses, honest moments, sullen teenagers, and meddling family members.
Megan is at a crossroads in her life, so when she finds herself in the middle of a cornfield in an overheated car and a hot guy knocks on her window, she realizes she's not in LA anymore. Chase is trying to find stable ground after each thunderstorm his teenager sends his way, but when the woman on the side of the road steps out of her car it's like the watch shakes beneath his feet. Their connection is instant and their love is fast behind. The banter and internal monologue are top-tier, the spicy scenes are "just right" and the family fun is laugh-out-loud funny. Add in the specialty Addy has for her small towns and it's another great read to add to her endless pile.

This was the first Adriana Locke book I’ve read and I will be reading her backlog of books. The characters were great and I was rooting for Chase and Megan the entire time!
Adriana Locke always brings the feel good, swoony magic! The feels, the tender moments, the flirty banter, the small town charm, and the endearingly unforgettable characters- I never leave one of her stories without a big grin and a full heart. More Than I Could is a delightful romantic escape- the perfect lighthearted and heartfelt story to brighten your day.
The dreamy cover and single dad trope had me excited for this book, but as usual Adriana brings so many more dynamics and layers to the story. A grumpy-sunshine dynamic, sassy banter and sexual tension, and the nanny dynamic all make this so very bingeable. And these characters are SO relatable and captivating. From their memorable first meeting until the very end, you just want to root for them, hug them, shake them, and dream with them. I just adored Megan- and her layered relationships with both Kennedy and Chase. She's a lovable heroine, and her banter with Chase was so entertaining. But I loved even more how their emotional relationship evolved, the vulnerability in the way they were real with each other, and I adored how thoughtful they were in supporting Chase's daughter Kennedy. Megan's empathy and connection with Kennedy was just the icing on the cake. I adored their connection. And I loved how formidable she was with Chase's grumpy bravado.
This is a fast and light read, with just the right dash of angst and plenty of steam. And the theme of finding your home- and that home isn't always a place but your PEOPLE is such a pure and sweet message. All in all, another amazing escape from Adriana Locke!

A witty grumpy/sunshine trope that will pull a little at your heartstrings.
Chase is cautious when it comes to relationships. He’s a single dad looking out for his daughter, so he doesn’t date. Chase and his family are close, so when his mom goes on vacation she employs a nanny that unsettles Chase.
Megan is an only child. She did not have the childhood that Chase had but she can relate a little to Kennedy, his fourteen year old daughter. While Kennedy tests her dad’s parenting, Megan tries to encourage her to stay on the straight and narrow.
Megan and Chase both have their reasons for being single. So they try to keep their hands to themselves, which proves to be difficult at some point.
I loved the banter between these two. The author kept my attention and throughout the book I wanted to be apart of this little family. We see glimpses of Chase’s brothers and Megan’s best friend.
It’s a cute story of two people finding their way “home” to each other. I am hoping that there will be more books to follow for all the secondary characters we’ve come to learn and love in this story.
I gave Megan and Chase 4,25

I almost immediately knew that this book was going to be an instant YES for me. The tropes alone are some of my faves: small town, single dad/nanny, forbidden, etc. The witty and angsty tension filled banter between Megan and Chase drove me crazy in the best way!! Something that I absolutely love in romance novels is when a filthy talking MC (male or female I really don't care) is instantly attracted and not at all afraid to express that! When Chase tells Megan that he doesn't want her nannying for him because he isn't sure how he can go 30 days with her in his house without f***ing her.....I about fell over! Megan does her absolute best to connect with Chase's daughter and when she stands up for her against the sh*tty school admin? I screamed "WIFE HER UP ALREADY!!" 10/10 recommend!
More Than I Could is the perfect blend of humor, heart, and sizzling heat! There’s just something about a single dad romance story that just makes me swoon and hits me with all the feels. Chase and Megan's first meeting, or even their second meeting doesn't end very well. Megan has traveled the world and is now between jobs. She traveled across the country to help her mother's friend watch her fourteen year old granddaughter, Kennedy, while she is away and her son is at work. Chase wasn't happy to find out the first woman he has been attracted to in years is staying with him for a month. But once they give each other a chance, the sexual tension and desire between them burns sizzling hot. Chase's main focus is on his daughter, but he soon breaks all his rules when he can't stop from acting on their fiery attraction. They are so good together, and with Megan and Kennedy having similar teen struggles, form a sweet bond as well. Just as Megan finally feels like she found a place that feels like home, her time there is coming to an end. Will they find the courage to ask for what they want, or will Chase let Megan go, breaking all their hearts? Chase and Megan's story is so fun, emotional and sexy. The more they open to each other the more they learn about themselves. Chase's daughter, Kennedy, was such a sweetheart, even as she struggled to be heard. I loved the evolution of their relationship and the beautiful family they were making. Chase is so grumpy, and has his flaws, but is attentive, caring, and swoony. Megan is so perfect for him with her strength, determination and devotion to his daughter and him. I loved Chase's family and their quirky friends who made this story even more fun and heartwarming. This is such touching, and heartfelt romance with great characters, hilarious banter and sizzling passion! I am so in love with Peachwood Falls! It's the kind of place that draws you in, and makes you feel right at home. I fell in love with the characters in this witty, steamy, and unputdownable love story, and I would love it if they get a story as well!
