My rating for this book is 3.5/5. The book was entertaining, but it took about 120 pages for me to feel fully engaged. It did feel like many of the side characters in Resurrection Peak faded into the background. In the beginning, it felt like they would have bigger roles in the story. I was left wanting the detailed story of Fern and Sam’s deaths.

It was thrilling to see the events of the night Annie died be pieced together after she confronted Gun and Leo. I was not expecting the sheriff to be the killer. It took me by surprise. Although I don’t understand why he didn’t freak out more when he first saw her at the school.

Overall, it was a decent read. I just did not feel the spark you feel when you like a book.

Annabell is dead and she's a total mess. Now she has to get her shit together enough to find out who killed her and that's gonna be hard because she didn't have it together at all before she died. Also she's pissed. This story was such a good time. It was set in the present day but definitely also gave me 90's living dead girl vibes
