⭐️⭐️/5: What I liked about this book was it was giving mild Jennifer's Body vibes. I loved that movie. And the mystery upon mystery was nice.
What I didn't like about it. The MC was not likeable for me. And some of the other characters, I'm not sure why they were even written. The setting for nearly each chapter was all over the place. She took entirely too long to figure out what happens to her. I as the reader I still am not sure what she was. The words dead and mermaid came up. Did she end up with superpowers? I don't know. I couldn't wait to finish this book.
She does eventually figure out what happened and solves another mystery but we never (as far as I remember ) figure out what she became.
